The Kendal Mountain Festival is a beacon of purposeful adventures, tales of maverick magnitude and thought provoking inspiring stories that stop you in your tracks and motivate you to try new things.
Exploding with writers, films, mountaineers, swimmers, riders, athletic champions and awe-inspiring stories of courage and exploration, this year’s festival drove in over 20,000 visitors, hosting over 160 guest speakers and screened 170 films over the four days.
A purpose-built ‘Basecamp Village’ counted 23,000 people through its doors, to meet and indulge in 80 brands and organisations who represent the spirit of the outdoors, through interactive talks, presentations and films.
Thank you to everyone who came to meet us and watch our ambassador: Andrei Burton - Team GB Rider and UCI World Top 10 Rider. Who performed stunt bike shows for Kendal Lights Switch On, Bike Night, Kendal for Schools and Family Sessions. The noise and energy that came from the crowds, gripping tight to the barriers for a closer look, fired up and stamping on floors in Leisure Centre, was magical.
If we can do and inspire to do more now, the challenges of tomorrow can be within reach.
