Riding the waves of wellbeing
The Wave Project exists to support children and young people early on in their lives. Half of mental health problems are diagnosed before the age of 14, so how can we support those at risk and those desperate for help? The Wave Project offers support from primary school through to secondary, to post school. They run NHS prescribed surf therapy programmes to help build self-esteem, confidence, and resilience that generally lead to them feeling more positive about themselves and more hopeful about their future.
This is a short film that highlights the impact their work is having on young people (members), parents, volunteers and communities across the UK.
