Massive congratulations and well done to Callie from the Saltrock team for her epic performances at two big surfing events this month!
On the weekend of the 1st-2nd of October was the British Cup 2022 aka the Llantwit Major in Wales, where 12 year old Callie remarkably came 7th in the Under 18's category, surfing for Team Scotland.
Her mum, Elaine, said: "She was in the under 18 category, so we didn’t expect results. We told her to go out and have a blast, and surf with the best surfers that will inspire you - we had no clue she would make all her heats and end up getting right through to the semi finals!"
Then, the following weekend Callie won the Scottish National Under 12's Title at the Junior Series Event 4 Scottish Junior National Surfing Championships 2022. What a great home victory!
Amazingly, she also came 2nd in the Under 16s heat, securing her place in the Scottish Team.
Hosted by The Scottish Surfing Federation in conjunction with The Broch Surf Club on Fraserbrugh Beach, the event welcomed surfers from all over the country to compete for National titles.
Callie's younger brother, Kai, also surfed well, winning Under 12 Boys and Under 12 Boys titles.
