Surfing is part of our DNA and a great sport to try, if you’re a beginner, an expert or have the passion to conquer big waves, like our brand ambassador Andrew Cotton. So when Surfing England approached us about bringing adaptive surfing to more people across the country, through a sponsored para surfing roadshow, we jumped at the chance.

Surfing England Adaptive Roadshow Is a new initiative, bringing surfing to people living with disability, (you don’t have to have surfed before) a chance to give it a go and for some people a pathway to take surfing further. The roadshow will tour this year around six locations, with highly experienced coaches and kits to give the best experience of surfing for people with a physical disability or visual impairment.

Bude, 12th May
South Shields, 29th May
Scarborough, 31st May
The Wave Bristol, 4th July
Croyde, 4th August
Bournemouth, 1st September

These are one-day taster sessions linking the local community, local charities, and surf clubs to get people riding waves for the first time. Supported by Team England, connecting those with a competitive edge to the adaptive surfing talent pathway, and giving people a route to surfing for their country.

It’s been an epic start to 2024 and we’re delighted to officially announce that we have a new partner onboard, Saltrock. The support from Saltrock is enabling us to fast-track our Para surfing program with the launch of a new Para Surfing Roadshow. Ultimately with Saltrock onboard, we can now offer more opportunities for disabled people to try surfing.

This is a huge positive for the whole industry. Our roadshow is ambitious, to identify more surfers on the trajectory for Team England Para. In 2023, the team placed a record 4th in the World, a huge achievement and ambitions are high to keep such a fantastic place. With this in mind, surfing styles are connected to the ISA Para Surfing divisions, meaning surfers will ride predominantly standing, kneeling, or prone. This may seem a huge challenge for some surfers, but our expert coaches will provide the best possible guidance to make this possible.

The partnership launches for an initial 36 months, and we’re stoked to have the guarantee the Para Surfing Roadshow can build each year, thanks to Saltrock. Keep an eye on social media to check out content from the roadshow!
