Meet our Saltrock Family

When you think Scotland, you think of wilderness, wild camping, huge mountains and lochs and cold sea! Our Saltrock family are no strangers to all of the above, in fact they thrive on it! We're stoked to have THE GET AFTER IT Family (Nashy, Abs, Skyla, Hunter, Rocky and Cooper (the hound 🐾) on board as our ambassador family. Hearing stories, escapades, adventures on and off beaten tracks, to some of their favourite local spots, hidden gems and more.

Let yourself go.  Run, jump, paddle, climb, tackle in the sand, nature has a gift of inspiring our creativity - set your summit high.  Be 100% of yourself, whether your rambling, running or resting. Don't wait until the kids are older, start your adventures now!

Somewhere in the middle of Cairngorms National Park lies a peaceful Scots Pine forest amongst the rugged great bulk of the mountains. - perfect picnic spots, wide grassy trails - great for trail running and secluded cold water dip spots in the Feshie river.
You don't have to imagine the wildness and rockiness of this adventure.
Take off with your stove and outdoor kit; after a wild swim, there's nothing better than cooking sausages over the stove (Cooper approves!) with hot chocs and toasted marshmallows - always a winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Hanging out together in our store in the lovely Kendal, and at the world's biggest outdoor festival - Kendal Mountain Festival
We managed to get behind the scenes with KMF production team, gave the kids a taster of life behind the lens. Plus a GET AFTER IT podcast with another Saltrock Ambassador, trial bike champion, Andrei Burton. Look out for more of those 🎙️ to come.

Adventuring Tips
With half term and Easter hols on the horizon, its good to put something in the diary that gives the family something to focus on and look forward to. Negotiate with the kids as this gives them some autonomy and independence. Then organise what you need to take and charge what you need for a longer journey. Happy adventuring 🏕️
