DIANA - STORE MANAGER
Our store manager Diana has grown up in North Berwick! She loves that there is a sense of community within the town and as the store is on the high street, she has access to some of North Berwick’s beautiful beaches!
"One of the great things about working at Saltrock is the people you meet; from day-to-day interactions with customers, to meeting a whole bunch of new and friendly faces within the company. We have such a lovely team here in our little store and coming in to work every day knowing you'll be in good company keeps a smile on my face!”

JACK – SALES ADVISOR
Jack has been at the store since it opened last year!
“I've always been a fan of surf-style of clothing and got a peek at it when I visited New Zealand, so I was excited when Saltrock announced they were opening a store in North Berwick. Having been here since opening I've watched the store fully integrate into the high street and can say the brand is at home here next to the beach. I've loved working with the team and enjoy the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere we give to the customers. I hope Saltrock continues to flourish in North Berwick for years to come!”
WHAT'S THE BEST SELLING PRODUCT INSTORE RIGHT NOW?
Right now, our best sellers are our funky tees and cosy hoodies! In typical Scottish fashion, you never quite know what you're going to get with the weather. You'll often find we have 4 seasons in one day, so being able to jump in and pick up a new tee on the warmer days or a thicker layer on those unexpected windy days is just what people need.
ANY MUST-HAVE PICKS FROM OUR SUMMER COLLECTION YOU'D RECOMMEND?
Our North Berwick hoodies and tees are a must have for anybody visiting. They make perfect gifts or comfortable souvenirs that will last. Another favourite is our graphic tees, giving your wardrobe a splash of summer colour, especially our mini-me collections, where you and your little ones can match!

WHAT'S YOUR TOP MUST-VISIT SPOT IN NORTH BERWICK FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS?
North Berwick is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including the world's largest northern gannet colony situated on the Bass Rock.
Take a trip to the Scottish Seabird Centre for a peek at their interactive live cameras, join in on one of their seasonal guided wildlife walks or book yourself a boat trip to see the Bass Rock up close! Situated between two of our beaches and tucked beside our scenic harbour, it's a 5-minute walk off from the high street, and a wonderful day out for all.
Diana’s fun fact: North Berwick has a bit of a dark side in its history. Between around 1590 and 1592 over 70 people were accused of witchcraft, and North Berwick gained its dark history by being one of the primary locations in Scotland for Witch Trials - even King James VI took a personal interest in these trails. The Bass Rock was also used as a prison in the 17th Century, so it's safe to say North Berwick isn't lacking in interesting history!

SECRET PLACES TO VISIT IN NORTH BERWICK
Tucked away near the far end of North Berwick, beside the Glen Golf club, is the Glen. It leads all the way from Aldi down to the beach/golf club, through a little wooded area following a stream right down to the bottom.
It's a fairly short walk but feels like you're in a fairytale! The Lodge is also a lovely place to visit that often gets bypassed by visitors and is also home to our incredibly successful Fringe by the Sea! It's a grassy park that you can walk around, take a seat on one of the many benches or even sit at the gardens at the bottom and say hello to our birds in the aviary.

Take a walk along our lovely little high street and along the beach. North Berwick beaches are beautiful, so you can't go wrong with that combination!
